A climatic simulator giratorio to improve the provision of walls curtain, windows and doors

The R-Cube giratorio has been developed to provide technicians of analysis of the provision of walls curtain, windows and doors that allow to the designers of products develop solutions for the construction still more sustainable, energetically efficient and confortables.
The new simulator allows to place exposed closings to a combination of different conditions of temperatures, atmospheric pressures, wind and humidity. This offers to the engineers of Reynaers the possibility to compare and evaluate distinct solutions of solar protection, natural ventilation, types of glass and unions to work, according to the different orientations of the building. Besides, the solutions of façades of double skin can be studied in detail to evaluate the confort and energetic performance.
As in a home
The R-Cube has a totally automated control that allows cycles of temperature and programmable relative humidity. This allows to the engineers simulate the conditions of winter or summer, whenever it was necessary. The R-Cube also has a system of complete register for the recording of all the data, such as the use of energy (cold/heat) and the temperatures in the interior and around the R-Cube.
The additional technologies that use in the R-Cube include a camera of infrared and an installation of essay Blower Door. This equipment allows to measure with precision the differences of temperature to evaluate the isolation and identify the estanqueidad total of an installed closing. The value Or total of the own R-Cube is 0,12 W/m² K (the value Or oscillates between 0,08 W/m²K and 0,16 W/m²K) and can consider like a passive house.
140 essays to the year
At the side of the new R-Cube, the Reynaers Institute, the big centre of 2.800 square metres of training, essay and investigation, houses teams of essay highly sophisticated, that include four big platforms for essays of air, wind and water, machines of essay cíclico and mechanic and acoustic camera. Every year they realise an average of 140 essays in the Reynaers Institute, fulfilling the European rules of quality, durability and reliability. The proofs realise in the standard systems for certification, as well as in solutions to measure, especially designed for big projects.
