ATEG Shows concerned by the moratorium to the renewable energies
12 March 2012
From 2007 the production of steel galvanised allocated to the plants of renewable energies has increased notably: of 20,6% that produced in 2007, until more than 30% that reached in 2011. From among the renewable energies, the termosolar is the one who presents a more intensive consumption of this type of steel and one of the industries with greater expansion inside Spain. In 2013 it foresaw that they went in in operation 60 new plants. The moratorium imposed by the Ministry of Industry with all probability would brake this growth for successive years.
To trial of ATEG, paralyse the development of new plants of renewable power (especially termosolar) would suppose to put in danger to good part of the industry of the steel galvanised, sector that goes sorteando the crisis thanks to the intensive consumption of this material by part of the market of the renewable, by what the worry of the sector is evident.
ATEG Considers indispensable that keep somehow the system of premiums to the renewable, in which Spain is world-wide leader, and that in the most brief term possible the Ministry resolve the current situation of impasse that has generated in this sector. For ATEG, that represents to an industry that invoices more than 250 million annual euros and gives work to 5.500 employees, the possible decisions that adopt the Government would have to go oriented clearly to the research of a sustainable balance between the dinamización industrial that produces the impulse of the renewable technologies and the effective decrease of the receipt of the electricity, that in the case of the process of the galvanizing represents a very important cost for the companies.
