The Ceramic Chair of Barcelona fulfils 10 years

Since in 2004 implanted the Ceramic Chair in the Esarq-UIC have gone through his classrooms more than 200 students, that have been able to incorporate to his learning a greater knowledge of the product, as well as of the enormous possibilities that the baldosa ceramic can contribute to the creative and conceptual work of these professionals. Along this decade, have been many the proposals that the students have presented with an innovative vision and with developments of new applications of the ceramics. All these works collect in the memories that edit each course under the Ceramic Material title and that are accessible in the web of the Network of Chairs.
Like lecturers invited, have gone through the Ceramic Chair of the Esarq-UIC professional of the size of Carlos Ferrater (OAB), Walls& Pedrosa, Elena Rochi (Embt), Albert Viaplana, Caruso & St.John, Grandson & Sobejano, Javier Garcia Solera, Juan Smiths, Josep Bohigas (Bopbaa), Bernalte & León, Toni Gironingingès, Carlos Quintans, Amid (Zero9), Carme Pinós, Fernando Menis, Ruiz-Geli, Barkow & Leibinger, Peter Rich and Joâo Álvaro Rocha, those who, in a lot of occasions, have participated also in the process of development of the projects of the students or like jury in the contest of projects with which closes course to final of year. According to Sarrablo, an example of the “profesionalización” of this Chair has been the recognition of the work of his students in the prizes of ceramic design that summon in the frame of the Fair Cevisama, achieving the unusual mark to be rewarded in nueve consecutive editions.
