Endesa and Ascer renew his agreement for the supply of electricity in the ceramic sector

The agreement, that also protects to the companies associated in Anffecc (National Association of Manufacturers of Fritas, Enamels and Ceramic Colours) and Asebec (Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Ceramic Machinery), has been signed by the president of Ascer, Joaquín Piñón; and the director of big customers of Endesa Power, Jorge Breda. In total the potentials beneficiarios are more than 200 companies distributed by all Spain with an annual consumption of more than 1.000 GWh.
The agreement has force until 31 December 2013, continuing like this the signed in November of 2006 and that during these six last years has allowed that the greater part of associated of Ascer enjoyed of some prices of competitive and stable electricity.
Besides the agreement keeps the two alternatives of contracting that offered the previous agreement; one of fixed price and another of variable price indexado to the market what will allow to the companies that adhere to him follow moving to his costs of production the competitiveness of which have enjoyed until the present.
Fruit of this work of energetic audits have arisen interesting initiatives of R&D that are materialising in the development by part of Endesa of projects of recovery of heat for companies of the sector and that suppose savings in the consumption of global power of the surroundings of 20%.
Other services developed by Endesa and Ascer in this line of support to his associated are the compraventa of rights of broadcast of CO2, the integral gestión of the measure, the gestión of public helps for projects of investment or the infrared thermographies of the energetic installations.
Ascer Represents to more than 98% of the Spanish ceramic production. The sector of the ceramics in Spain, that is the second European producer and the third exporter to world-wide level, gives direct employment to 15.500 workers and generates more than 7.000 indirect employments.
