Wacker Neuson Dumb to the new centre in Hörsching

"Because of the increasing demand of our own products, joined to the cooperation with Caterpillar to manufacture excavadoras of until 3 tonnes, were to the limit of our capacity”, declared Martin Lehner, vice-president of the managerial board of Wacker Neuson and responsible of the division of compact machines. With a volume of investment of 65 million euros, the new factory is the centre of development and production of machinery of compact construction of until 14 tonnes. Here they will manufacture excavadoras compact and mobile, loaders compact, dumpers of wheels and of orugas for the construction, the gardening and agriculture, the municipal administrations and the industry.
The transfer realised in May, in alone two weeks, and in total did fault roughly 1.000 loads of truck. The department of administration moved in 2,5 days of Leonding to Hörsching, both places in Linz (Austria). In a weekend prepared and put in operation the structure of communications for more than 200 places of work of the department of administration. To continuation moved the production, with roughly 800 loads of truck. “A master work of logistics in which all did an incredible work", stand out Gert Reichetseder and Johannes Mahringer, managers of Wacker Neuson Linz GmbH.
On 10 May initiated the production of the first compact machine in the new factory of Hörsching. The first excavadora compact, a Wacker Neuson 3503, was yielded to the municipalidad of the new home in Hörsching.
In a terrain of 17 hectares, very near of the airport, has arisen in eleven months one of the factories of compact machinery for the biggest construction and modern of the world, with a surface covered of 48.300 square metres. In addition to a very modern ship of manufacture with a total of 6 lines of setting and an area of own proofs, an installation of esmaltado with coating with painting in dust and installation of chorro of sand and a building of offices with modern installations, the new centre includes also his own workshop of learning, a modern area of essays and a workshop to give learning of maintenance. “In a first step have created roughly 200 places of new work, and at present have 520 workers”, indicates Gert Reichetseder.
