The water consumed in Langreo happens annually, 4.351 analysis to check its quality. At Entralgo, treatments of fluid are always designed to lower its turbidity (the amount of waste in the water). Hourly control these parameters, while the evidence on the amount of chlorine and pH of the water carried in external laboratories.
Visitors could witness how the station has three water abstractions. The main one is from the Coruxera Canal, originally built to bring water to a hydroelectric power station located between bridge d'Arcu and Entralgo. In case of any problem with this catchment is used a second that directly takes the water from the Nalón River at the height of the bridge, and not run it, the third alternative is to use water from the spring of the Raigosuas explained it the technical divisions.
Faustino Calvín, explained how regularly the water of the Coruxera enters the station having a turbidity of degree 5 (the legal maximum is degree 1) and that once get to pipes that lead up Langreo is about 0.3. In general, the treatment of water which is carried out in the wastewater treatment plant is "soft", and only under certain conditions should be stronger, especially when due to heavy rains or when it drops the swamp water is collected more cloudy than usual.
