Hune platforms in the expansion of the steel Balboa
July 30, 2008
Hune platforms work have focused on the interior of the new steel plant, a large building, located in an area of 500,000 square meters, is three times greater than the steel original.
The new plant has the latest technologies and allows you to produce a wider range of products, although its main activity is based on the transformation of scrap material such as structural shapes, bars and wire rods, widely used in the construction sector.
Several telescopic platforms of 28 and 40 meters high and articulated arms of 41 meters have been involved in the construction of the ventilated facade, the mounting of several steel structures in the interior of the building, the daily work processes of the steel-related, and sheet metal walls. In addition, an articulated arm of 15 metres of elevation has been responsible for the complete electrical installation of the new plant.
To achieve one of the highest parts of the steel mill, a crane raised a telescopic platform to a height of 38 metres, placing it on the floor of the building. From there, the machine extended his arm to the maximum, up to 40 metres in height, which enabled it to reach the work area with maximum comfort and safety.
