AdBlue, a great ally of the environment
green chem is the manufacturer and leading European provider in AdBlue and equipment of filling corresponding thanks to its strong commitment to provide greater availability and quality of the product. This results in significant sales in Europe and in constant collaboration with the leading manufacturers of trucks (DaimlerChrysler, DAF, Volvo, Nissan), not only in pilot testing of its SCR vehicles, but also in marketing and promotion of trucks actions, coaches and buses Euro4 and Euro5.
What is Adblue?
AdBlue is an aqueous solution of urea (32.5% pure urea, 67.5% of demineralised water) that acts on the exhaust gases from the engines of heavy goods vehicles as a catalytic converter to reduce harmful emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) generated in combustion processes. AdBlue meets all the specifications set out in the standard DIN70 070, and in the standard ISO 22241 of early publication, heavy transport, coaches and buses.
What is it good for?
As a solution which reduces gas emissions from heavy goods vehicles, it is essential for the proper functioning of the SCR catalyst that incorporates the new trucks, buses and coaches to comply with the European regulations of Euro4 and Euro5 emissions: the first entered into force in October 2006, the second will do it in 2009.
How does it work?
AdBlue is injected into the proportion in the duct of the engine exhaust.
Through a process of hydrolysis, releasing molecules of ammonia which are deposited in the ceramic SCR catalyst. These molecules react with nitrogen oxides in the combustion process. The result of this reaction is molecules of water and nitrogen, both harmless for the environment.
The filling of AdBlue GreenChem can be both filling stations and bases of flotistas, freelancers and cooperatives of carriers. Not be toxic or flammable, the solution is stored without environmental restrictions.
The distribution, the main concern
GreenChem is the only European company whose activity is exclusively dedicated to the production and marketing of AdBlue to ensure their availability. Therefore offers equipment for storage and refuelling at over 1,500 points of sale throughout Europe and the AdBlue search engine: www.adblue4you.com, where can be reached immediately. This website is updated daily. Addition, as a guide, it allows you to consult other items and services of interest such as hotels, restaurants, etc.
GreenChem has a wide distribution network throughout Europe, composed of distributors of lubricants and/or gas oils, thanks to its flexibility, orientation and proximity to the customer, guaranteeing the availability and distribution of AdBlue. GreenChem offers various methods of supply: AdBlue in demijohns (5, 10 and 18 litres), drums of 200 l, container of 1000 l and AdBlue bulk in stand-alone equipment for storage and supply, Greenstar Smart shopping, with capacity of 2,900 and 6,200 litres. Currently Spain has a network of more than 35 distributors, with presence in major stations of the national area which guarantee the availability of AdBlue GreenChem at any point of Spain within 24/48 hours and in any format: cans, flasks, containers and bulk.
The obligation to comply with Community rules
According to the European norm, since last October 1, 2006, all heavy goods vehicles from new enrolment must be equipped with engines that meet at least the Euro4 regulations on emission of gaseous pollutants, which requires the reduction of emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbon and particulate pollutants in heavy vehicles.
The entry into force of the Euro5 European regulations which shall also apply to heavy goods vehicles and will mean a significant reduction of NOx with respect to the current Euro4 emissions is expected in October 2009.
To fulfill the automobile sector has developed two technologies:
· EGR: (The exhaust gas recirculation) consists of the recirculation of a part of the exhaust into the engine. Before reinyectarlos, the gas must be refrigerated. This diminishes the temperature of combustion, which reduces Nox emissions, but at the same time produces higher levels of particles. It is necessary, in general, incorporate some type of particulate filter.
· SCR (selective catalytic reduction), an approach adopted by the majority of manufacturers which is the output of exhaust gas using a catalyst and needed the additive AdBlue urea-based. Its great advantage is that it adapts easily to the future Euro5 with rules, can only increase the consumption of AdBlue to reduce NOx emissions more. In addition, the optimization of engines has resulted significant savings in fuel: up to 4% less consumption than the Euro3 engines.
Tax advantages for vehicles Euro 5
The purchase of a vehicle Euro5 offers two fiscal advantages fundamental in front of the Euro4. On the one hand, the deduction of the base imponible of the Tax of Societies by acquisition of new vehicle is the double for a vehicle Euro5: 90% of 12% of the price of purchase (no applicable to autonomous).
On the other hand, the tax kilométrica for circulating in German motorways, Austrian and Swiss is inferior in the case of Euro5: from 30/9/06 to the 30/9/09, the vehicles of more than three axles Euro4 pay 0,15/km, whereas the Euro5 pay 0,12/km. It fits to stand out the fact that the tax kilométrica is imposing in motorways of other countries of Europe and even is extending to the national roads of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
