BASF, Comsa, Contank and CFL Multimodal invest 24 million euros in the future station intermodal of Tarragona

The terminal, that will have capacity to load and download six trains to the day of until 520 metres of length, will allow to connect the petrochemical polygon more important south of Europe with the main European markets when the connection to the European width turn into reality. The project will llevar by means of a joint-venture with three partners: Comsa, the logistical operator Contank and the main operator of transports of commodities of Luxembourg, CFL Multimodal S.A. The investment enciphers in 24 million euros.
Ore stood out “the need of a station intermodal to connect the European width and keep the competitiveness, the leadership and the places of work that generate the chemical companies. The Government and the Generalitat are engaged with a project that will guarantee the competitiveness and the future of the chemical companies of Tarragona”.
By his part, Erwin Rauhe affirmed: “The infrastructure will be operative from the first day, since the works will initiate in what the connection to the width of international road –that as it confirmed the minister of Promotion, Ana Pastor, is foreseen that they finalise in 2015– set up”.
