They designed the first Valencia Chamber of vacuum for coating materials
July 12, 2011
Trills Vacuum Projects company and the technological Institute of optics, colour and imaging (Aido) collaborate in the design of the building of houses of high vacuum for processes of layered recubrimeinto with laser technique of Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD). This is the first Valencian company that builds this kind of machine. Chamber of vacuum ultra-alto introduces a white (may be steel, aluminum, materials) which through a beam laser evaporates and adheres to the material you want to coat, forming a thin film around it that keeps the same structure and chemical composition of the target. During the process, thanks to a support with rotating carousel, the material with several layers of up to four different targets or sources of energy can be covered.
The use of this procedure has multiple applications, such as the coating of implants dental and orthopedic, chemical sensors, rechargeable batteries, or devices including flat screen. The skill in the construction of houses of high vacuum trills Vacuum Projects and technology experience of Aido laser and PLD process have allowed to carry out this project. The most important results have been confirmation and validation of the functioning of the Chamber with coatings on steel and aluminium. This project has been funded through the Institute's medium and small industry of the Generalitat Valenciana (Impiva), and the European Fund for Regional Development (ERDF) in the framework of the integrated operational program of the Valencian Community.
