April 22, 2008
The national platform on nanoelectronics and integration of intelligent systems Genesis, coordinated by the Cluster of telecommunications of the Basque country (Gaia), the technology centre Cidetec and CNM-Barcelona, made the first call of proposals of the platform technology European Eniac, on nanotechnologythe last 14 of April in Madrid.
This event has made it clear all doubts regard the Eniac JTI initiative, developed by the European technology platform on nanotechnology and which fits within the 7th framework programme of cooperation in European investment for the development of the joint technology initiatives (JTI's). The launch of the first call for proposals will be expected throughout the month of April.
The work programme is divided into subprogrammes that have an impact on the benefits of nanotechnology in various sectors such as transport, mobility, security, energy and environment. In addition, on this day also it has deepened in the method of design and tools for nanoelectronics, as well as equipment and materials needed to develop such initiatives.
