Danosa diversifies its production with a new range of PVC-based waterproofing systems

The sixth European producer of asphalt sheets used to waterproof tunnels and covered, has inviertido six million euros to launch a new line of business in its alcarreña Fontanar plant. The company will manufacture a new range of PVC-based waterproofing systems imminently.
Danosacompany, specializing in waterproofing asphalt sheets and sixth company of the European industry, enters the market of synthetic sheets after the summer. They will produce polymer or derivatives of the plastic, known as PVC. This type of material is used, above all, to waterproof roofs, swimming pools and tunnels.
The company has decided to give a twist to your strategy and enter this market for different reasons. On the one hand, "we wanted to diversify;" "while, on the other hand, is a way to reduce imports in Spain of this material, that account for 50 percent of the market," explains Alberto del Rio, director-general of Danosa.
"Our goal is, moreover, offer a more complete service to our customers and reach new business opportunities", notes the director-general.
The implementation of this new business line meant an investment of six billion euros, for r & d and the acquisition of machinery.
The company plans to produce every year three million square metres of synthetic laminate. Danosa, with a factory in Fontanar (Guadalajara), aims to double its current production capacity to consolidate its international expansion plans.
Currently, Danosa is the sixth company in Europe and exports to over thirty countries on five continents. The company employs 220 people. In 2005, it reached a turnover of EUR 85 million, and this year we hope to 95 million euros", judgement of the River.
