José Ramón Alcover, new general manager for southern Europe of compressed gases of Air Products

José Ramón Alcover has been appointed general manager for southern Europe in the business of Compressed Gases of air productsgroup. In his new position Alcover be responsible for the business of compressed gas in Spain (metallic carbides) and Portugal (Gasin). One of the main objectives of his new position will be, as well as increase sales, profits and positioning of the company, market strategies and operations in the South of Europe within the global strategy to integrate Air Products.
Born in Barcelona in 1963, Alcover joined metallic carbides in 1990 as director of the Department of subsidiaries and investments. In 1993 he was named Corporate Controller of 3 of the 5 divisions that was then the company. From 1996 to 2001 it became a commercial gas tablets division director, later take charge of the direction of the Compressed Gases Division of metal carbides, given that he has been playing up to the present.
Throughout his career in the company, José Ramón Alcover has contributed decisively to increasing sales and profits, and improve the operations of the company in the supply of products and services. José Ramón Alcover law is senior industrial engineer from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and Master of business administration at IESE (M.E.D program).
