Dow And the City council of Barcelona sign an agreement of collaboration in the field of smart cities

The mayor of Barcelona, Xavier Trias, the president of Dow Chemical Iberian, Anton Valero, and the Corporate Global president of Investigation and Development of Dow, To.N. Sreeram, formalised in May an agreement of collaboration in the field of the project smart cities. The act protocolario had like signatories of the agreement to Xavier Trias and Anton Valero. The purpose of the same is to promote the international positioning of Barcelona like referent in smart cities and innovation, applying the solutions of
The agreement will allow to explore and advance in projects of energetic efficiency and renaturalización promoted in city, so much in covers as in faã§ades or in the treatment of coatings vertical in faã§ades with ecological and sustainable paintings, and coatings mobile.
Of this form, both parts engage to work jointly in the development of projects inside the area smart cities, power and electrical mobility of the Horizon 2020 of the European Commission. Likewise, they will study the participation of Dow in the City Protocol Society that promotes Barcelona, and whose purpose is to establish the standards of quality of the intelligent cities the 21st century, sharing knowledge with other cities of the world, companies, centres of investigation and institutions.
The agreement has a force of two years, postponable a year more. A commission of follow-up, composed by two representatives of the City council and two representatives of Dow Chemical, will commission to manage, coordinate and do the follow-up of the evolution of the agreements contained in this agreement.
