The Guide of RSE of the Chemical sector, selected for the European project Enterprise 2020

The Guide of RSE of the Chemical sector, developed by Feique between 2008 and 2011, has been elaborated by experts of the own chemical sector and Forética with the collaboration of representatives of the Public Administration of the area of Health, Environingingment, of Science and Innovation, hygiene and Labour Health and of Social Politics and Equality; sindical organisations; organisations environingingmentalists; and organisations of consumers among others.

This guide pretends to orient and loan support to all those companies of the sector interested in implanting, improve or advance in the gestión of his politics of RSE. To this end, the Guide describes, to way of document mark, the areas and fields of gestión that could configure the diary of RSE of any company of the chemical sector, as well as key indicators that allow to realise the follow-up of the exert of practices socially responsible for each one of these areas and fields of gestión. For this, the guide has had very in account the heterogeneity of the companies that integrate the chemical sector Spanish (a total of 3.200): from the big companies multinationals until the SMEs and micropymes (92% of the sector is composed by companies of less than 100 workers) as well as the different subsectores existent.

Forética, the association of companies and professional of RSE in Spain, has presented a total of 36 projects of collaboration —developed by more than 600 entities— between which integrates the Guide of RSE of the Chemical sector. The 36 projects chosen to represent to Spain in the initiative And2020, proceed of 15 sectors of activity: aeronautical sector component manufacturing sector component manufacturing, feeding, automotive sector, banking, quality consultancy, consumption, infrastructures, engineering, chemist, sanitary ware, public sector, services, technology, third sector and transports.

The initiatives presented have been selected in base to strict criteria of evaluation that include the presentation of a plan of concrete action, measurements of impact and indicators of results in fields and thematic specific: transformation of markets, societies integradoras, health and welfare and transparency to attain confidence.

These initiatives will continue with the process of implementation of his plans of action of face to present his results in an evento of high level in 2013 and will do besides follow-up continued of his advances inside the platform.

The next 29 November the president of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso, the president of the European Council, Herman Go Rompuy and the commissioners of Employment and Internal Market, will participate in the presentation of the first results to European level in an international summit of high level.

Forética Will take part in said summit to put in value the contribution of the Spanish chapter to this international project. Likewise, it will publish a guide that collects all the information on the contributions of each country.
