1. Values and commitment of social responsibility
78% of the companies has of some values or fundamental principles of social responsibility of the clearly identified company and explicitados in a formal document and subscribed by his responsible maxima.
2. Indefinite contracting
Almost 91% of the agreements of the chemical industry are of indefinite character, being one of the sectors with an elder ratio positive of the Spanish economy, whose private sector registers a slightly inferior average to 75%.
3. Plans of equality
69% of the companies has of plans of equality structured that surpass the mere fulfillment of the obligations established in the national legislation, regional and local.
4. Index of frequency of accidents
From 1999 the Index of Frequency of Accidents has reduced 53%, essentially thanks to the widespread application of Responsible Care and his practices of management in matter of labour security. The index of siniestralidad reached in 2010 is seven lower times even that the registered in sectors like the Public Administration, the service sector or the domestic personnel.
5. Environmental certification
80% of the companies have of environmental certification of his installations, mainly ISO 14001 and EMAS.

From 1999, the relative broadcasts of gases of effect invernadero have reduced 33%, restarting the progression realised from the start of the application of the Program Responsible Care.
7. Figure of businesses
The figure of businesses of the chemical sector elevated in 2010 above the 53.153 million euros, situating like this in previous levels to the crisis. From 2000, the contribution of the sector to the generation of wealth in the country has elevated 49%.
8. Contribution to the gross industrial product
From 2000, the contribution to the gross industrial product Spanish of the chemical sector has increased 42%, reaching in 2009 the figure of 13.772 million euros. The chemical is, after the feeding and the metallurgy, the third industrial state, representing to 11,3% of the wealth generated by the activities manufactureras.

The figure of exports shows the capacity of internationalisation of the sector, that along the last decade has registered a growth of 111%.
10. Investment in investigation, development and innovation
From 2000, the investment in R&D has grown 132% in the chemical sector in spite of the reduction of the resources that experienced in 2009. The dedication to this activity guarantees the bet by the future and the continuous improvement of the products of the sector. The chemical sector, led by the pharmaceutical industry, is the greater investor in this field when accumulating the fourth part of the destined resources by the group of the Spanish industry.
