IAQFN and Citma organized a Conference at the University of Cordoba

On the occasion of the international year of chemistry and to commemorate the contribution of chemistry as a creative science in improving the sustainability of the modes of life, the Andalusian Institute of chemistry and Nanochemistry (IAQFN) and the technological centre of wood and the furniture of Andalusia (Citma)they will be held in Cordoba on May 24 and form joint conference 'Role of chemistry in the timber industry and the furniture', which will be taught by Diego moulds Moreira, Professor in the Department of chemical engineering of the University of Vigo.
The presentation of the speaker will be Michael Valcarcel Cases, director of IAQFN, Professor of analytical chemistry at the University of Córdoba since 1976. He studied his Bachelor's degree (1968) and Ph.d. (1971) at the University of Seville with two special awards. He obtained his first Chair at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Palma de Mallorca) in 1975. Its main lines of research focus on automation, simplification, miniaturization and quality of chemical processes of analytical measurement and nanoscience and nanotechnology.
