Bayer AG will open a factory of polyurethane in Shanghai this year

Bayer MaterialScience AG, the second largest chemical manufacturer in Europe, to launch a factory global polyurethane in the city of Shanghai at the end of the year, considering that the Chinese market for this product will be the largest in the world in 2015.La Vice President of the section of the Asia-Pacific region of the Bayer AGAzita Owlia, explained that demand in China's polyurethane for industries like the automotive, construction and the footwear is taking the lead the rest of the world, reported the newspaper Shanghai Daily.
Owlia confirmed that the plant will produce a year 350,000 tons of the insulating thermal difenilmetano diisocyanate (MDI), the main component in the manufacture of polyurethane, and which will be situated in the area that Bayer is in the Shanghai chemical Industrial Park.
The company also plans to launch before the end of the year with facilities in the province of Canton, to the South of China.
