A project on the maintenance of multiple organic farming WINS Expoquimia r & d
on November 23, 2005
A group of researchers of the Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona (UAB), the Universitat Politècnica of Catalonia (UPC) and the Fundació ASCAMM obtained the first Prize
Awarded with 10.000 euros, the work designates “System modulate of multiple minibiorreactores automated for screening multifuncional in biotechnology” and was selected by the jury by the big innovation that supposes and the improvements that contributes.
The work, that inscribes in the area of the biotechnology, develops a method and a device to achieve and keep multiple biological crops with some similar environingingmental characteristics to the ones of the birreactores of greater size and with a degree of automation of the measures seemed to the of the microplacas.
The project contextualises inside the application of the technology based in technicians of the genomics and proteómica and of combinatory chemicals, that at present are allowing develop new organisms or improved, as well as new substances and processes.
The authors of this innovation are a team of researchers coordinated by the chemical engineer Albert Soley, of the UAB, in collaboration with the scientific Jordi Joan Cairó and Francesc Godia (Group of Cellular Engineering and Tisular of the UAB); Andreu Fontova and Ramón Bragós, of the UPC, and Xavier López, of ASCAMM.
Expoquimia Has summoned for the first time the Prize Expoquimia R&D like recognition to the work of investigation of the Spanish scientists in the field of the chemicals and with the object to contribute to the promotion and the diffusion of the implementation of the chemical and technological knowledge. This fact is especially notable in a moment in which the representatives of the industrial state and scientist related with the chemicals follow requesting a greater support to the i+D+i in Spain.
