Taking the following steps to transform itself into a higher growth, DuPont company It has announced that it is reorganizing his team to accelerate the implementation of their plans of scientific integration through the company and exploring strategic alternatives for its chemicals business. These steps are part of the transformation of DuPont into a growing company, less cyclical and integrating scientific capabilities unique in biology, chemistry, and materials, the development of differentiated high value solutions in the attractive markets of agriculture and nutrition, advanced material and life sciences-related industries, all over the world.
To accelerate the implementation of its strategy of integration of science applied through their business, James C. Collins, Jr.who currently leads the business of bioscience industry, becomes senior Vice President reporting to the President and CEO of DuPont Ellen Kullman, and will oversee divisions of industrial bio-science, high-performance polymers and packaging & Industrial polymers. Collins will accelerate the integration of industrial biotechnology - fast growing business of DuPont - to its range of business of advanced materials as a result of the constant expansion and demand for materials from renewable sources. With a wide experience of 29 years at DuPont, Collins led the team of integration resulting from the acquisition of Danisco, before assuming his current position.

This decision by DuPont to explore strategic alternatives for its business of chemical products, reflects review in course of the portfolio to determine the best way to integrate science where can contribute to the growth and the optimal combination of business to maximise value for shareholders. This follows the sale of your business's paintings - DuPont Performance Coatings - at the beginning of this year and the acquisition of Danisco in 2011.
