BMW Group sales continue their recovery in August

Sales of the BMW mark in August were a minor, with 75.689 11.3% (previous year: 85.321) units. Mini, for its part, sold 16.064 vehicles (previous year: 16.257 / - 1.2%) while Rolls-Royce delivered 37 cars (previous year: 101 / - 63.4%).
In its largest market in the retail, Germany, BMW Group had a performance considerably better: new registrations rose 3.5% to reach the 18.570. Also, the Chinese market continued its dynamic growth and the BMW Group sales grew by 63.2% in August. But sales of BMW Group also had extremely satisfactory performance last month in Japan (2,859 / + 9.5%), South Africa (1.786 / + 6.0%) and Australia (1.436 / + 1.3%). BMW Group recorded even greater growth in the Netherlands (1,485 / + 25.4%), in Austria (1.093 / + 19.8%), Canada (2.749 / + 14.2%), Brazil (587 / + 134,8%), New Zealand (115 / + 59.7%), the India (297 / + 12.1%) and in the South Korea (822 / + 22.1%).
For its part, BMW Motorrad recorded sales 14.4 per cent lower than in August of the previous year, with 5.423 units (previous year: 6.338). In the current year and until the end of August, 62.001 have been delivered (previous year: 72.954 / - 15.0%) motorcycles to customers around the world.
