Rescue something more than money
Repeat us speaking of the need to rescue savings, plans of pensions, active financial and investment funds. And while we do not finish to accept it will live in a permanent existential crisis of which anybody goes to come to take out us.
Does not fit to argue ignorance to the hour to pose solutions to the crisis. Neither the institutions neither the citizenship in his group can obviar that the only able machine to generate places of work in a democratic society is the company. There is not better invention. It is, for the time being, the only alternative. As they say the youngsters “is what there is”. The unemployment diminishes when the companies are successful and increases when they are not it. And the guarantee of the business success roots in his competividad. The companies that result competitive finish being successful and generating put of work. Those that are not it, no only will not grow but they will reduce his resources and inexorably, sooner or later, will disappear. It is a truth of Perogrullo that does not require demonstration but that, paradoxically, seems necessary to remember it.
The competividad business goes through innovar and internacionalizarse. It is not at all new. From the steel of Bilbao that proclaimed Shakespeare like symbol of quality until the turn to the world of Elkano and the fishing of the whale in Terranova, the Basques carry five centuries traspasando borders and opening markets. The mapamundi is not already the foreigner, but the aldea global that coined Marshall Mcluhan in 1962. It is time to that all competitive company that precie do his what the theories of the communication formulated does already half century.
But do not have to forget that, in the global market, no only compete the companies, but also the countries, the societies and the own citizens. The countries compete between them, with his own mark of country, in innovation, investigation and knowledge, as they compete in the implication and commitment of his institutions with regard to the business fabric.
The societies compete with the ambition and tarpaulin of his strategic projects. In words of the professor Daniel Innerarity “the relation with the future has to cultivate , as we do it with the other human aptitudes […]. There are societies that relate patológicamente with his own future, whereas others treat it of a reasonable and profitable way”.
And also, clear, compete the own citizens. Parafraseando To John F. Kennedy —“do not ask what your country can do by you, but what you can do by you country”—, is not question to convert to the company in unquestionable totem and vital aim, but yes to carry to the spirit of all his components that his own professional development and human, his continuity in the work and even his own economic status are intimately related with the success of his contribution to the company.
Anybody doubts that it was important the talent of institutions, companies and citizens. But it is moment to claim that being important the talent, is it even more the disposition. That the aptitude is important but the indispensable attitude. That the talent only surrenders when it goes joined to the commitment.
Going back at the beginning, is important to face the rescue —surely inmerecido— of the active financial of so much bank desmadrado, like the rescue —sobradamente deserved— of our savings and pensions, but so important or more is, at least in social terms, recover the values of the effort, the taste by the very done work, the list of our duties, the humility of not living above our possibilities and the convencimiento that our future depends more than us same that of what can do the other by us.
