'Diseases caused by nematodes fitoparásitos in Spain' and 'Plant diseases caused by fungi and including', both published by
Phytoma-Spain in collaboration with the Spanish society of Phytopathology, have been the former winning books aequo of the 40th edition of the agrarian Book Prize, award, organised by Fira de Lleida in the framework of the fair land of Sant Miquel-Eurofruit. About 50 researchers who develop their work in research centres, universities and private companies, such as the CSIC, the Irta or universities of Girona and Córdoba have participated in the two works. The jury has valued the great work carried out by scientific publishers (Maria Fe Andres, Soledad Verdejo, Rafael Manuel Jiménez and Emilio Montesinos), who are teachers in various areas of science in Agronomy with a long professional career.
The book 'Diseases caused by nematodes fitoparásitos in Spain' reflects the latest developments of the nematology, unveils the morphology, taxonomy, biology and epidemiology of nematodes that cause diseases, as well as including up-to-date information on disease type in crops of economic importance in Spain.
'Diseases of plants caused by fungi and including' is a detailed and updated characteristics of fungi and the including, study the processes by which attack plants and integrated management of the diseases that cause. The book contains a case study on 13 diseases type and the main features of the agents and the symptoms of the disease are illustrated with numerous schemes and color photographs.
