May 9, 2011
Design sustainable regional strategies for the impulse of the commercialisation/commercialization of agricultural products in short circuit (understood like the sale in some surroundings of vicinity, through the direct relation between producer and consumer) is the purpose of a project in which it collaborates Aragon, together with Basque Country and Navarra. Likewise, also it looks for to support the set up of small available innovative experiences direct. The initiative, that in Aragon develops through the Society of Aragonese Rural Infrastructures (Sirasa), frames in the section of innovative projects of autonomous communities of the National Rural Network.
From Sirasa recall that the direct relationship between producer and consumer, improves the income of farmers and ranchers, favours the development of the local economy and reduces the environmental costs (from the packaging and transport). It also points out that it responds to new trends in consumption, "by which consumer values more and more and gives more confidence to the products that get you directly from the producer." "Which, in turn, provides new market opportunities for producers in rural areas", says the director of the Department of agriculture services, Sirasa, Silvio Dellepiane.
Thus, among the specific objectives of this experience, seeks to know and assess the current situation in this area, as well as to establish the potential of growth of marketing in the participating regions. Also you want to define a strategy of sustainable growth for the supply and demand of products in short circuit, as well as to raise awareness and knowledge of consumers.
