Sales of agricultural machinery fall 15% in February

During the month of February, the marketing of tractors fell 1.04 per cent, from 772 units marketed in 2010 to 764 units in 2011.
Machinery dragged or suspended marketing fell in February to 934 units (- 20,51%), while that of the carriages fell to 356 units (- 18,54%), with respect to the same month of the previous year.
For its part, the sale of pedestrian-controlled tractors fell 21,05 per cent, up to 30 units, and automotive machinery a 19.30%, to 46.
According to region, Castile and León, Spain ranks first in sales of agricultural machinery in that month, with 444 units; followed by Spain, with 309 units; Castilla-La Mancha, with 266 units; Galicia, with 257 units; Extremadura, with 145 units and Aragon, with 136 units.
Followed by Catalonia with 133 units, Canary Islands (97), Comunidad Valenciana (83), Murcia and Basque country (53), La Rioja (52), Balearic Islands (37), Navarra (36), Asturias (27), Cantabria (12), and Madrid (9).
