Fira Sant Miquel plant face the crisis and received 180,000 visitors

The book 'The economy of the water for irrigation in Spain', edited by Cajamar Foundation, has won the 39th Edition of the award of the agrarian book, award organised by Fira de Lleida in the framework of the fair land of Sant Miquel-Eurofruit. The 528-page book is divided into 24 chapters, with the participation of 49 researchers who develop their work in 16 different from 8 autonomous institutions. The work examines the evolution of the so-called economy of water during the 1998-2008, expanding the scope of the study to a series of perspective not previously raised on the economics of irrigation and providing innovative solutions.
The director of the service of studies of the Fundación Cajamar, David Uclés Aguilera, says that "this award is to strengthen the belief of the Foundation Cajamar and of its Research Department of the interest on the agri-food in this country." The prize is an incentive to continue in this line of specialization, in which were not expected results as soon. However, the strategy for publishing works of the Cajamar Foundation at prestigious competitions has the dual objective of launching our work at the national level, on the one hand, and position to the Foundation itself, both in the publishing sector and the agro-food research; "thus, in the coming months the agri-food sector awaits with interest our new publications in this area".
The jury of the 39th Edition of the award of the agrarian book has assessed that the book of the Cajamar Foundation analyze item carefully from a social and economic side without entering into controversies of other areas and that it constitutes a reflection objective on a major theme from the socio-economic point of viewintroducing also new and groundbreaking concepts such as the water footprint and virtual water.
First level technical conferences
These acts include the first edition of the already mentioned 'Produqte' (trade fair of food quality and proximity), organized by Prodeca and the patronage of promotion economic of the Diputación de Lleida in order to enhance the role of Lleida agri-food capital. The initiative has brought together 62 exhibitors and hosted 24 culinary activities carried out by recognised Catalan chefs, workshops of cooking for children, tastings of wine, water and oil, lectures on label in the table, gastronomic critics, etc.

Scissors Infaco, model Electrocoup F3010, was awarded "by the new system of adaptation of Heads of different calibers, electronic control and security systems, which allows saving the cost of small tools and a substantial increase of the performance". The second prize went to a bar versatile hydraulic for localized treatment by sprinkling, atomization or polvorización, of Teyme agricultural technology.
In the category 'Award for the design of agricultural machinery safety' award was for the drain of palots V AUT 2010, presented by Cedis-Mafrut, "which applies cutting-edge systems adapted to the type of machinery for handling of palots". The second prize went to the Iris of polvorización, of Ilemo-Hardi Hardi system.
Finally and in the category 'Prize at the competition of innovations in the fruit sector', the first prize, worth 1,000 euros, as all fell to Argilés Disseny i rugs, a machine for the collection of fruit transportation system
for cups, "for high working capacity and the reduction of the damage to the fruit during the collection process". The second prize, worth 500 euros, took him buildings mechanics Alcay, by a shredder Serrat Trigon Vento, with built-in system intensifier for the displacement of the plant remains at the bottom of the trees.
