John Deere extends and expands its network of distribution of spare parts in Europe
April 19, 2010
"The continued expansion of the different lines of products John Deere throughout Europe requires the parallel expansion of our infrastructure for spare parts," says Fritz Rheindorf, director of distribution of spare parts for Europe, CIS, North Africa and Middle East. "With the aim of providing an excellent service of spare parts to our customers and dealers, and taking into account the rapid growth of the logistic costs and environmental considerations, we are improving the services of our DCPs in Bruchsal, and we have decided to establish a regional spare parts distribution centre in Northern Europe."
More than 30 million dollars will be invested in a new center of 16,700 square meters in Bruchsal. This new Centre will have more space for the reception, packing and loading of parts in the DCPs and allow a more effective distribution of the orders of John Deere from all over Europe dealers, as well as to serve other parts of the world centres.
The new John Deere regional distribution center, located near Stockholm, will open at the end of 2011, and will also have parts for forestry machinery John Deere. Furthermore, will have a sales office at the retail level, which is currently in Maersta (Sweden). The new DRC of 18,700 m2 will serve to dealers and customers in the markets Scandinavian and Baltic.
