Bequinor organizes the seminar 'Overview of the situation of the machines in the face of' at the end of the year 2009

They have also changed the majority of type A and B harmonized standards that support the directive. Some of the changes are minor, but the most important is that there will be the 28.12.2009, in which the standard EN 954-1, used to justify the fulfilment of the essential requirement 1.2.1 of the directives of machines is void98/37/EC and 2006/42/EC, security and reliability of control systems. For machines that are put into service after that date only the standard EN ISO 13849, far more complex than the EN 954-1, may be used to justify the fulfilment of the essential requirement 1.2.1. The standard EN ISO 13849 quantifies the likelihood of failure of the control systems using the PL (level of benefits, performance level), which is the same concept as the SIL (safety integrity level) of the IEC 61508 standard with a simplified calculation method.
On the other hand, and against that, from the outset, think many users, the new directive affects them directly. This is due to the Royal Decree 1215 / 1997, on use of work equipment in the field of the prevention of labour risks, does not define what is a machine, so it is necessary to rely on the directive. The new directive 2006/42/EC includes the definitions of machine, virtual machine, manufacturer, marketing and servicing, among other things, directly affecting the user makes any changes or grouping machines to work jointly and severally liable or add a new machine to a pre-existing group of machines.
The three areas mentioned (directive for machines, harmonized standards and prevention of occupational hazards, RD 1215 / 1997) are closely related, although it is sometimes difficult to fully understand the interaction between them.
- Machinery manufacturers.
- Engineers responsible for advising machinery manufacturers.
- Companies marketing, importing, or installers of machines.
- Personnel of enterprises using work equipment which is responsible for maintaining the adequacy to the RD 1215 / 1997 (especially in the case of groups of machines working jointly and severally).
- Staff of companies dedicated to the setting in conformity of machines.
- Personnel of companies that use machines that is responsible for their adaptation or modification for productive reasons or other needs of the company.
- Staff responsible for prevention of occupational hazards, whether a user enterprise or of an external prevention service.
- Personal maintenance of industrial machinery.
