The Official Gazette announced the next forest restoration in montes of Huesca

The Ministry of environment and medium Rural and Marine Affairs (Marm) has announced the project of restoration, afforestation and forest in mountains of Huesca treatments. This plan, published in the official State Bulletin (Boe) will cost, by the central Government, 534,500 euros through the Plan Spanish of stimulation of the economy and employment. This performance is part of a joint initiative which includes four projects in montes managed by the hydrographic Confederation of the Ebro in Aragon, whose global budget amounts to 1.56 million euros. In short, the work will be limited to treatments forest which remove biomass. Thus, it decreases the risk of fire and ensures the conservation of the area, through firewalls and reforestation. The work carried out in the hills heritage of the Basin Agency of Gerbe and Griébal (Aínsa), Ordaniso (La Peña of Riglos), Salgar (Baldellou) and the environment of the reservoir of Sotonera (Alcalá of Gurrea), in the province of Huesca.
The five above-mentioned actions complement the work that the Basin Agency has also developed in 24 mountains of its management in Aragón and Catalonia for the prevention of forest fires. Many of these initiatives, in the State of enforcement, conllevarán an investment of nearly six million euros between the period 2009-2010, financed by countries of the European economic area and the Marm.
