Speaking during a press conference given today, the President of the Cup, Padraig Walshe, has stated the following: "Have several months left in a very serious crisis, especially in the sector of milk, which has been affected like no other." Our Ministers of agriculture should give an immediate response and that is why we are here to insist her. Because without farmers there is no food. And if nothing is done very quickly, it will be putting at risk the future of the supply of food products throughout Europe. "The farmers in mountain areas or disadvantaged, that produce 60% of the milk in the EU could well disappear forever."
In addition, also claims, as it did in his time to the Government of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, solutions to the fall in prices in origin of the agri-food products; more specifically, the urgent adoption and implementation of a law of margins that an end to the abusive differentials between prices in origin and destination and reduce payments to farmers.
