The onubense municipality of Almonte has positioned itself to lead Europe in production of organic agriculture with more than 50,000 hectares, according to data provided by the Division of agriculture and fisheries in Huelva, hope Cortés. After visiting facilities of flower of Doñana, Atlantic Blue and fruit Borja enterprises, he stressed the "exceptional work,", carried out by the food industry of the area not only in ecological agriculture and care of the environment, but also the social side.
The hectares cultivated with methods of ecological management in Andalusia have achieved in 2008 the figure of 610.124, which represents an increase of surface of 4.7 per cent over the previous year, according to data from the Ministry of agriculture and fisheries.
