The use of fertilizantes in our country is adapting to the needs of nutrients of the crops and to the requirements to attain an agricultural activity that was sustainable in the time. After several years in which in some zones has realizar an insufficient contribution of nutrients with which obtain some good performances, and in front of the need of paliar the lacks produced by his exhaustion in the floor after the extraction equipment equipment realizar by the plants, the agriculturalist has optimised his use during the past campaign. According to the data of the National Association of Manufacturers of Fertilizantes (Anffe), with an increase of 16% during the last agricultural campaign, the consumption of fertilizantes in Spain is tending to the recovery of the levels that were usual prior to 2008, year in which it produced a brusque descent to world-wide level.

On the other hand, in a recent report published by Fertilizers Europe indicates that in the European Union foresees a stability on a long-term basis in the current levels of consumption of fertilizantes. Our country is one of the four regions of the EU with greater consumption of fertilisers, had to fundamentally to the fact that it is one of the European zones of greater agricultural production, although it has to signal that in Spain the dose of credited by hectare is inferior to the one of other countries of the EU.

Regarding the regional distribution of the use of the fertilisers in Spain, Castile and Leon, Andalucia and Castile-La Mancha are the three autonomous communities that consume more fertilizantes, for being also the zones with a greater production of cereal, one of the crops in which more fertilizantes apply .

The exhaustion of the nutrients in the floors produces negative effects in the performance of the harvests, by what is necessary to realizar a fertilisation of suitable and sustainable form that allow to increase the performance of the crops, and in consequence the profit of the agriculturalist.

“Is fundamental that do a rational use of the fertilizantes, so that it attain optimise the agricultural production preserving at the same time the environingingment. This achieves realizar, in the measure of the possible, analysis of the floors and applying the suitable product, in the suitable dose and in the moment in which in the plant needs it. Of this way will attain that the plant nourish properly and that there is not in any moment neither deficiencies of nutrients in the floor neither excesses that can cause losses by leaching or escorrentía”.
