Cooperatives Agro-alimentary considers that it is necessary to review the system of Agricultural insurance

Cooperatives Agro-alimentary of Spain has sent a letter the minister of Agriculture, Feeding and Environingingment, Miguel Arias Cañete, requesting the collaboration of all the actors involved- central and autonomic administrations, organisations and sector- for “refundar” the current national system of Agricultural insurance, alerting that said system finds in a worrisome situation that looms, even, his sustainability and permanence en el futuro. The agricultural insurance is one of the signals of identity of the Spanish field and has a very perfected system –that serves of example for other countries–, and characterised by his capacity of constant improvement, since in him participate all the agents involved.

Nevertheless, in the last years the system of Agricultural insurance is living a situation characterised, of a side, by a greater number of accidents and, by another, by a minor presupposed in the destined public helps to this concept, what is repercutiendo in a general uncertainty that looms the sustainability of all the system.

Thus, from Cooperatives Agro-alimentary of Spain propose a series of performances that repercutirán in the sustainability of the system of Agricultural insurance:

1.- Implement a new model of insurance: based in the concept of 'sure onion' or 'by layers',

2.- Reformulation of premiums: The flujograma of learning of the premium of the safe has to be reviewed in depth, so that the commercial premium was asumible to the time that attractor trucks to the hour to hire the safe,

3.- Efficiency of the model of business: so much the Companies of insurance, like the pool Aagroseguro, have to realise an effort of remarkable improvement in the processes, in the gestión and in the operative, so that redunde in a reduction of costs and therefore in a cheapening of the commercial premiums of the insurance to commercialise.

4.- Universalización Of the agricultural insurance. By two roads: links of the agricultural insurance to the granting of helps and potenciación of the Policy Asociativa. The Policy Asociativa is a product that allows to ensure the production of all the partners of a cooperative, what of immediate form would suppose a dispersion of the risk, with the consequent reduction of taxles.

5.- Has to look for the compatibility of the new Spanish system with the use of bottoms from the PAC.
