New Holland Optimises the program of vintage mechanised of Raimat
The night of the past 8 August began the vintage in Cellars Raimat (Lleida), an event that gathers every year to the presses and the national and local television and that this year has supposed the première of the seven new grape harvesters New Holland B9090X, purchased four of them of direct form by this cellar of the Group Codorníu and the rest by means of companies of service. Besides, also they premièred the two tractors viñeros T4050F of New Holland, bought by the cellar.
With this reason, realised in Cellars Raimat an act of delivery of these new equipment in which they were present Xavier Farré, director of Viticulture of the Group Codorníu; Joan Esteve, technical director of Viticulture of the Group Codorniu); Riccardo Angelini, general director of New Holland in Spain; Maggiorino Gaffoglio, director of Marketing of the segment of grape harvesters of New Holland to world-wide level; Javier Calvo, commercial manager of grape harvesters and of the program Came Master in Spain; as well as representatives of the dealers Agricultural Machinery Solsona, Railcar and Nautics Workshops.
From a general punto of sales of New Holland in 2012, Riccardo Angelini showed satisfied with the effort realised during this year: “To first of September are to a step to go back to have the first position in sales of cosechadora of cereal, with the introduction in the market of new equipment with a greater provision and with a more advanced technology to disposal of our customers, as they are the motors Tier 4 with technology SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) to which has to them add urea, that provides us an advantage regarding efficiency in comparison with our competitors. The quality of the vintage mechanised
The bet by the vintage mechanised comes of far, since the cellar designed , like account Xavier Farré, director of Viticulture of the Group Codorníu, “like a finca viticultural of the new world in the old world”. Like this, all the finca is had from does more than 40 years with vineyards emparradas, irrigation and system antihelada, handling all the gestión of the viñedo with business criteria and no only agricultural”.

Thanks to all a system of teledetection and of gestión of the information that go taking on foot of vineyard (for this have created his own company of viticulture of precision, designated Agropixel and that gives service already to big cellars with the last technologies in images by satellite, avionetas, aeroplanes no tripulados; use of indexes NDVI, PCD, etc; treatment of data; monitors of harvest, checkpoints, use of PDAs, etc.), can determine the ideal moment of the vintage of each plot and thanks to the vintage mechanised can do it of fast form and in the best conditions for the grape.
Joan Esteve is a clear defender of the vintage mechanised: “A vintage mechanised, very programmed and realised, gives us a plus of quality since, in the first place, allows us vendimiar of night, with temperatures of 18 or 20 degrees and can carry quickly the grape to the cellar and go down it much more easily to the 15 degrees that need (energetic efficiency). Besides, we can vendimiar just the plot that is just right of maduration and do it quickly, without losing at all of quality.”

The vintage realises of principles of August with the first whites, until October with the tintos like the Cabernet Sauvignon. In total use the seven grape harvesters and 22 tractors with special nacelles of some three tonnes to carry the grape of the vineyard to the cellar. A total of 3 attendants and more than 20 operarios realise the vintage always of night and following escrupulosamente the planning of vintage designed for each day. Thanks to the grape harvesters with lateral download, the tractors fill the nacelles while vintage and go quickly to the cellar to download going back to by more grape of form always continuous.
