Mollerussa is prepared for the 137 Edition of Fira of Sant Josep

Despite the economic times, the exhibition body faces with optimism next 137 Edition of the fair, which was the year 2007 with a total of 335 direct exhibitors that accounted for nearly one thousand brands from a total of 20 countriesincluding, and after the Spanish State, they were Italy, Germany, France and United States. 335 Direct exhibitors, 139 corresponded to the grounds, where is located the agricultural machinery and accessories for agriculture and animal husbandry; 158 the exhibition halls, intended for accessories for agriculture and animal husbandry, entities, feeding and multisectoral, and 38 to the motor exhibition, located in the swimming pool enclosure.
On the net area covered, the figure rose last year to 27.234 square metres, of which 15.925 correspond to the outer enclosure, 3,355 exhibition pavilions and 7,954 square meters to the motor show.
The Fira of Sant Josep of Mollerussa today is "a point of meeting with reference to the agricultural and livestock sectors". This is reflected in the volume of people on the move until the Lleida City to visit the fair, number last year was estimated at 172,000 visitors.
The fair stands as a meeting point for professionals and companies of the sector, as well as in a forum where are discussed, through the technical conferences, the main themes of topical interest for the sectors concerned. In this regard, last year carried out up to 18 technical seminars in addition to eight more between the Interpirenaica bag of grain, a meeting of the table of prices of the chicken of the Lonja of Bellpuig, competitions, meetings and assemblies.
Prize of the machinery
The fair will also feature the award of the agricultural machinery, livestock and facilities agroindustrial, competition which has as objective to highlight and recognize the exposed technical developments as well as facilitate its dissemination in the agricultural sector.
The call includes four categories: special award for innovation to the Builder / exhibitor of agricultural machinery, award for innovation in agricultural machinery, livestock intensive innovation award and prize for innovation in machinery or facilities agroindustrial.
During the fair is also called the contest of design and aesthetics of the Fira of Sant Josep, which rewards the best Stand and the best plot of the trade fair.
