Rotecna launches two slats for squares of weaning and maternity units
April 11, 2008
Currently, some farms designed rooms of 250 centimeters, forcing the farmer to cut the slats - mostly of measures pairs - to be able to finish rooms properly. With these two slats, will "both the Chambers of weaning and maternity units no longer need an additional cost of labor and material", says the company.
The squares of maternity leave, until recently, used to measure 2.40 metres, so with four slats of 600 mm square was perfect. But, due to genetics, sows have grown in size and it forces to perform the longest sheds, up to 2.5 meters. Therefore, Rotecna has developed grids of 100 by 400 and 100 by 500 mm to be able to design a few stalls with perfect finish: for the mother and the piglets.
Manufactured with raw materials of high strength
Naturally, these grids combine "perfectly" with the rest of the Rotecna range and, like others, are manufactured with raw materials of high strength. In addition, both slats have been developed with relief that the sow to join its surface and avoid possible slips that could endanger the piglets.
Rotecna will present this and other developments at the VIV Europe fair, whose Edition will be held in Moscow (Russia) on 27, 28 and 29 May.
